(Sandy) Chandana Bhattacharyya, CHRP
Sandy welcomes and seeks out new challenges. She is a seasoned Human Resources and Employee Communications professional with solid credentials. She is a CHRP and possesses relevant qualification in Business with specialization in HR. She also has a masters in English literature and a PG diploma in journalism. She brings 20+ years experience of working for mega companies in a broad range of industries including energy, power, education and media in Canada and international and has worked in managerial roles and as senior strategic business partner with extensive experience in HR areas. She has received recognition for steering HR projects including change management projects successfully. Sandy has rich experience in facilitation, employment coaching and mentoring with special focussed attention towards foreign trained professionals seeking help as new entrants to Canada: an endeavour very close to her heart. Having come to Canada as an immigrant and having tasted success, she considers it her time to give back to the community and volunteer.
Sandy is a globe trotter very fond of immersing herself in diverse cultures. She loves the Canadian Rockies and hiking. She loves writing for newspapers. Friends fondly call her a social butterfly: simply loves people and also the opportunity her role offers her in making a positive difference in their lives.
Lipika Roychowdhury, RPR
Lipika thrives on success and results. She brings several years of experience in Human Resources specializing in recruitment. She is a Registered Professional Recruiter (RPR). She has had the opportunity to work in diverse industries including energy, IT and Health Care in Calgary. She has extensive experience in providing coaching, consulting and advice to clients with resume critique, interviewing and job search skills and insight into the labour market. Lipika's goal is to provide customized coaching and guidance to those who are looking to build a successful work life for themselves and their family in Canada, especially Calgary when oil sector is experiencing a challenging time.
Lipika also loves travelling, music, meeting with people and making new friends.
Kakoli Mitra, MA (Econ)
Kakoli is a focussed planner. She has over eight years of experience in Human Resources in a large post-secondary institution in Calgary. Through a career progression in HR starting from purely administrative functions to more complex roles in coordination, advising, and recruitment she has acquired extensive knowledge and experience in providing coaching in skill development for entry level positions in Canada. She has extensive facilitation experience in environments with diverse client base, communicating across different ethnic backgrounds and have held workshops on cross cultural communication skills and intercultural competencies training. She has held workshops and training sessions on Customer Service and Understanding Diversity. Herself a foreign qualified immigrant women, with a master’s degree, Kakoli has completed two applied research studies on the underemployment of foreign qualified immigrant women in Canada. Her research has given her strong appreciation and understanding of issues surrounding employability skill development and employment of foreign qualified immigrant professionals in Canada.
Writing and food blogging are close to her heart. She has also done a TEDX talk on food.
